Meet our Midlands based dedicated team of staff.

We are a rapidly expanding family run business. Headquartered in Market Drayton, Shropshire – B.S.B has been active for over 50 years, diversifying over time into our current form. We also run a trade counter open 6 days a week.

Martin Bickley – Director
Martin has many years experience in the events industry and has worked on a wide range of outdoor shows and sports events. Leading the company, Martin oversees all planning, booking and logistics and is just at home working in the field as he is in the office.

Pauline Bickley – Director
Pauline runs our electrical spares counter and is the friendly voice on the phone when you call our office. Pauline manages all bookings as well as everything office based.

Jordan Machin – Operations
Jordan manages operations, projects and health and safety. He is an engineer who’s skills range from outdoor events to theatre and lighting. Jordan designs our installations, specifying hardware, programming and takes the lead on many of our temporary events.

Peter Savill – Electrician
Peter takes the lead on our domestic and commercial electrical installation projects. You will also see him during our busy event season out on site installing systems. Peter is always happy to turn his hand to any electrical work – give us a call and book him in.

Mike Knifton – Head of Installations
Mike is our company electrician and he specialises in commercial projects. Mike knows the wiring of many of the UKs racecourses off the top of his head and is an invaluable member of the team. Mike leads our installations division and is a tidy, precise worker.

Matt Cockcroft – Engineer
Matt is a versatile and skilled PA engineer who feels just as comfortable managing the PA/Comms requirements of a horse trials as well as the sound requirements of a pantomime in a theatre. Being a great problem solver makes him an invaluable member of the team – he is willing to turn his hand to anything.

Huw Lewis – Precision Engineer
Huw joined our team full time in 2019. He is an engineer who specialises in fabrication, but he will often be found running the sound at our events and leading on installation work. He is a fluent Welsh speaker who is a fantastic asset at events across Wales, especially at the Royal Welsh Showground.

Peter Morris – Engineer (Technical)
Peter’s background is in electronics and engineering. He plays a key role in equipment servicing and show day sound engineering. He is also an excellent lighting technician and loves working on theatre and band events.

Rebecca Bullock – Head of Administration
Rebecca joins us in 2020 as our new head of administration. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge ranging from book keeping to health and safety and HR. She also looks after our trade counter and bookings and is the first port of call for enquiries. If you give our office a call – you will probably speak to Rebecca!

Cari Lewis –  Technician
Cari is a multi-skilled member of our team who can be found working on repairs and projects at our HQ, out on installation sites or on showgrounds. Her particular love for dogs means she doesn’t take much persuasion to cover our many dog shows throughout the year.

Jean Davies – Head of HR and Transport
Jean’s wealth of experience in the transport and HR world means she keeps our growing team on the right track. Jean manages our driving hours, tachographs, vehicle defects and supports us with our health and safety accreditation, as well as a plethora of other human resource activities.
